I find myself continually drawn to painting "haunted objects"—artifacts that seem to hold stories and secrets within them, like vital clues in an unfolding mystery. "Locket No. 1," a 5"x7" acrylic painting on canvas panel finished in July 2025, is one of those pieces. It’s a small painting, but it carries a sense of hidden depth, as if it’s just waiting for someone to unlock its forgotten narrative. I love imagining these objects as pieces in a much larger, ongoing mystery, inviting the viewer to create their own story around what might be held within.
