"Gaslight" was created in 2022 on a 16" x 20" stretched canvas using acrylic paint. This piece marks one of the earliest works in my art therapy journey. It depicts a woman walking uneasily down a street lined with gas lamps, serving as a visual exploration of navigating relationships where one's truth and reality are deliberately manipulated. It speaks to the disorienting experience of gaslighting, a form of emotional abuse where one is made to doubt their own sanity and perceptions.
